Each project undertaken is unique, with many variables. Hence the process is tailored to meet the specific requirements of our client, their brief, timeline & budget. In general, we would take the following approach:

The Briefing & Assessment Phase covers discussions with our client where we develop a clear brief and structured Project Plan. This is a collaborative process, working to shape the client's precise requirements, whilst developing initial ideas and interpreting their own style.

Utilising a variety of visual aids, we hone the style, mood, look and feel required of the final design. Ergonomics, functionality and lifestyle are also discussed and dovetailed into the designs and overall plan.

Once the Brief and Project Plan have been defined, we undertake a detailed site survey in order to prepare computer-generated technical drawings (2D plans & elevations). These are used to develop options for the spatial planning, structural alterations and room layouts. They may also be used for applications to authorities such as Local Planning; Listed Buildings; Private Estate etc. They also aid our clients' visualisation of the space and designs as they evolve.

The next phase is to develop the Concept Designs and present back to the client initial ideas, design scheme options, samples of finishes, brochures, sketches and so on. There may also be visits to showrooms and meetings with suppliers, craftspeople and artisans.

Following Concept Design approval, we move onto the Detailed Design Phase which may include fully rendered 3D static / dynamic visuals if the client wishes. This is where all elements are fine-tuned and presented, along with cost breakdowns, for final review and sign-off, including:

• 2D technical drawings
• furniture/room layouts
• electrical & lighting plans
• bathroom & kitchen designs
• sample boards/loose samples of all finishes
• 3D visuals (hand-sketched or CAD)
• joinery / furniture drawings & detailing
• structural remodelling drawings & detailing
• window treatment designs & specifications
• artwork selections

In the Build & Installation Phase regular site visits are undertaken to closely monitor the works being carried out and ensure they are being executed to the highest levels and within the agreed budget & timeframe. Where architects and consultants are involved, we liaise across the entire team to provide regular updates to our client. At the close of this phase, we make detailed inspections of the work and arrange for the correction of any snagging.

When the building & decorating works are completed, we co-ordinate and oversee the installation and delivery of all the furniture, decorative lighting, window treatments, bespoke joinery, artwork and finishing touches. The entire process ends with accessorising and styling which provides the final 'icing on the cake'.
